Things To Do at Treasure Cay, Abaco, The Bahamas

If you take possession of a rental car at about 4 PM you can drive the twenty nine miles down to Marsh Harbor and dine out at Wally's or Mangoes.

Driving at night in Abaco is awful. You drive on the left in American cars that are made to dim to the right. Bad news!

Next day take the same rental car up to the 10:30 ferry and go over to Green Turtle Cay. Have them drop you off at the Green Turtle Club, hike across the island and do some snorkeling on the Atlantic Ocean side, then come back to the Green Turtle Club for lunch.

If you are not a snorkeler, then get off the ferry at New Plymouth and tour the town for an hour, then pick up the ferry and go up to the north end of the island for lunch at The Green Turtle Club.

Then you have time to catch the ferry back and return the car by 4 PM.

Another treat is to call Touch of Class and have them pick you up and take you to their restaurant. Good food!

The Spinnaker, at the marina at Treasure Cay, is our closest restaurant and is within walking distance from the villas. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are priced quite fairly and the quality is good. Also for lunch you can walk up the beach (to the left) and eat at the Banyan Beach Club beach bar. Or, walk down the beach to the other beach bar which is owned by the hotel.

By all means, if you rent a boat, plan to head ESE out of the harbor and go over to Nippers on Guanna Cay. Tie up to their dock and they will pick you up in a golf cart and scoot you over to Atlantic Ocean side where you can snorkel, eat, and drink the day away! Have fun and "Haste ye Back"
